Just booked 3 days at this hotel in Paris, and will be travelling to Milan, Italy by Rail. This is my first trip to Europe and apart from being very excited, I am also very nervous. These forums and all of it%26#39;s participants have been a great help. That being said, can anyone tell me how far this hotel is from Gare Lyon station and what would be the best way to get there? Thank you all in advance.

Gare de Lyon is 3.4 km. from Lenox Montparnasse. The simplest would be to take a taxi. I doubt that the fare would be more than 10 euros and prob. cheaper.
The closest Metro is Line 4 Vivan metro(110m) and then Line 6 Edgar Quinet(197m). If you take the metro you would have 2 metro changes to arrive at Gare de Lyon.

Vavin then change at Denfert Rochereau(one stop) then, change at Chatelet Les Halles to Gare de Lyon. There is quite a bit of walking involved in the metro lines.

This tells me that it is 6.5 km from the Gare Lyon station to the hotel. It also gives the distance from Gare du Nord station (will be arriving from London there) and the hotel as 6.5 km. Can you confirm this please?

I get 5 km. from Gare du Nord and 3-4km. Gare de Lyon.
Here is another map site which gives directions. Similar to mapquest in the states. Be sure you use Gare du Nord and Gare de Lyon and not Gare Nord and Gare Lyon.
