What to do in Cannes ?

We are visiting Cannes for a few days around middle of March and would like recommendations on what to do and in particular about the best gourmet restaurants.

We´d like to visit Nice. What´s the best way to get there. Main sights in Nice ?

The best way to get to Nice is by train directly from Cannes. If you want a restaurant recommendation there, I%26#39;d suggest Le Chantecler, at the historic Hôtel Negresco.

Things to do in Cannes: wander along the Croisette; see the food market in the town center and perhaps the covered market near the east end of the Croisette; walk up to Le Suquet (old Cannes); see the Casino;
