CDG arrival:35 mins in between connections

We%26#39;re flying Air France into CDG, then on to Rome. Our flight comes into Terminal 2E and we leave from Terminal 2F. We have 35 minutes from the time our plane lands, to the time our next one leaves the gate. I called Air France today and was assured we would make it- she said we wouldn%26#39;t have to go through customs or anything, just change flights. Does this sound right? What%26#39;s the fastest way to get between these terminals?

I don%26#39;t think you have to go through customs traveling on to Rome. We did the same thing last year traveling through CDG to Venice. The unfortunate thing was that we made it to Venice on the right flight, but our luggage did not. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise. They flew our luggage to Venice on the next flight (just a few hours later) and delivered it to our hotel. In Venice, one has to tote luggage up and down and around and over bridges and getting lost, etc. etc. etc. Not to mention that we were on the 5th floor of a hotel with no elevator. We got back from dinner and our luggage was in our room! Couldn%26#39;t have planned it any better. So just make sure that you have all the essentials in your carry-on, and possibly an extra change of clothes...35 minutes is cutting it very close...you can run...your luggage cannot.

NO you don%26#39;t have to clear French Customs (DO NOT pass through ANT French Customs control point) if your luggage is being checked through directly to your connecting flight. T=You will remain within the controlled %26#39;IN TRANSIT%26#39; areas the whole time. You should JUST be able to make the transfer from CDG #2-E, directly across the way from #2-F by following the ample %26#39;..CORRESPONDENCE/ TRANSFER..%26#39; signage--a flight attendent or gate attendent should be able to point you in the right direction as soon as you deplane.

BUT---all of this is predicated on your inbound flight arriving on-time or slightly early

When connections are tight like that you have mini buses waiting for passengers at the plane and rushing them to the other terminal.

I have seen this on many occasions. They are sometimes asked to go to the front of the plane and disembark before other passengers as well. Take a change of underwear and a tooth brush in your carry on luggage in case your luggage does not make it!

I hate it when I see connections like this. If that plane leaves even five minutes late or air traffic is backed up getting into CDG, you are in big trouble. I wish you the best, but also prepare for the possibility that you may not make it.
