can anyone explain/advise me about how I can find parking in bordeaux and what a reasonable rate is? Is there anything else I need to know about parking in bordeaux?

There%26#39;s no problem finding municipal parking in Bordeaux. The city government has made this a priority in the past few years and has constructed several large underground garages in the middle of the town to supplement the existing parking areas.
To give you an idea of the rates, the new parking garage at the Place de la Bourse in the heart of town charges 2.20 euros for one hour and 4.50 for two; rates go up to a maximum of 16.50. These are the day rates. To promote the city%26#39;s night life, the city has instituted special evening rates that are in effect from 8 pm to 8 am: 1.00 euro for one hour and a maximum of 2.50 for anything over two hours (up until 8 am, when day rates kick in).
