Our trip report for people just getting started to Paris!!!

We left from SFO to CDG on Weds the 15th arrived the 16th. Booked our Hotel from Travel by Fingertip, ehi.com. We stayed at the Regina Hotel and it was a GREAT choice.

We got upgraded to a Junior Suite with a great view of The Eiffel Tower. The hotel, sevice and food were mostly 4star and above.

We booked some excursions on Expedia.com. I would not do that again. Prices are inflated and you can do better in Paris for Museum %26amp; Travel passes.

We booked a 1 day R/T trip via Eurostar first class from Paris to London. That was definitely one of our highlights. We bought a sightseeing bus trip with on and off privileges and that allowed us to visit The Tower of London.

This is my first time doing this and for some reason I could not finish. Anyway our Hotel was right across from the Louvre and Orsay. Walking distance to the Eiffel Tower. The restaurants we went to were mostly O.K. We found that 2 really stood out and I mean stood out. The first was Angelina%26#39;s right near our Hotel on 226 Rue de Rivoli. FABULOUS does not even do it justice. The BEST Hot Choclate and Pastries that we have ever had. The second was found strickly by chance. It was La Castiglione on 235 rue Saint-Honore. Eat upstaires with Half Moon windows overlookiing the street. Veal was perfect. Atmosphere was just right. We also had dinner at 95 Altitude at the Eiffle Tower. A must if you are there. I can%26#39;t say enough about the Orsay, Louvre and Seine River cruise. Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle were stunning.

When you booked the 1 day trip to London, was it a %26quot;tour%26quot;? Any info you can provide will be very helpful. Also, when you had dinner at Tower was that part of a package, too?
