Loire Valley in late March?

Would you recommend going to Loire Valley in late March? Would it be still scenic? I am wondering whether it will still be wintery cold and the trees will be barren... Your comments would be much appreciated.

WHo knows...perhaps best to contact the tourism office in the part of the Loire Valley where you want to go...It does have a different micro-climate from Paris...warmer usually...We were there in May and that was just about perfect...late May..had a bit of everything in weather department but everything was in bloom..I%26#39;d say late March will be dicey for greenery but if it%26#39;s been a warm winter like it has here then perhaps those trees have been trying to bud for six weeks like mine...good luck..

Hi - I%26#39;m north of the Loire valley on the Normandy/Pays de la Loire border. End of March will probably be cool and damp in the Loire - just coming out of winter into spring. Trees and flowers coming into bud. But you can get lucky and hit a warm dry spell - like most of France away from the Med the climate is not predictable.
