Trenitalia is the operator, so you better book there. Rail Europe resells you the same tickets at higher cost.

I wonder - I just entered the schedule and the night train (dep. 22:52, arr. 9:45) came up nicely... You can%26#39;t buy a ticket however, as it seems.

thanks altamiro!

i just looked at the trenitalia homepage

and was able to pull it up! just checking -

it _is_ VENEZIA MESTRE to NICE VILLE right?

there seemed to be other options available for venezia........

is 160 euro a good price?

TIA!!

If you are staying in Venice proper (the island) your station would be Venezia S. Lucia. Mestre is the stop beyond the causeway, on the %26quot;terrafirma%26quot;. It actually doesn%26#39;t matter, all trains stop in both stations.

160 Euro for what category? for a double sleeper it is a good price, for a couchette it is certainly a rip-off. Look for the propmotional offers - I%26#39;ve seen the %26quot;29 Euro per trena notte%26quot; banner on the trenitalia site today. Try to get one of these.
