Has anyone ever stayed here?
Does anyone know how close it is to transporation (the metro/subway)? Is it a good part or town? safe??
Are there restaurants and places within walking distance?
Any information would be helpful. Thanks!

Any Paris hotel name with %26quot;Porte de...%26quot; in it means that the property is on the edge of the city (%26quot;porte%26quot; is gate), and usually not in Paris proper. Many budget hotels are located ouside the city, but next to the main entry points of the city. Montreuil is one of the inner suburbs of Paris, east of the city.
Not knowing the purpose of our visit, I would however suggest you explore other accommodation possibilities. Although Porte de Montreuil has a subway station, this is out of the way, and not a very pleasant neighbourhood.

The hotel is overlooking the peripherique (ring road). You will be fairly far away from the centre of Paris in a not so pleasant area. The hotel is brand new but is rather targeted at solo business travellers visiting nearby industrial estates and wishing to get a larger room than at the standard Ibis Hotel.
