1 day tour to Loire Valley

Hello,

We are a group of four who will be taking a one day trip to Loire Valley from Paris.

The castles that we would like to visit are

Chambord, Chenonceaux, Ambrouse.

Does anyone have a recommendation for tour operators or private tour operator that might do a customized tour for us?

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank You.

I can personally recommend

Jean-Marie Ceccaldi

cell 06 09 03 31 53

fax 01 40 93 07 32

He speaks perfect English and does this kind of thing ...if he cannot handle it personally he has other drivers.

Hope these are still good numbers..it%26#39;s been over a year...but will be using him next month for going to airport...he does do day trips so would be perfect for you.

Are you thinking about Amboise instead of what you describe as Ambrouse?....I have never heard of Ambrouse but that doesn%26#39;t mean it isn%26#39;t there....Chenonceaux is another nit to pick...just to confuse things, there is a village nearby by virtually the same name and I think that Chenonceaux is the name of the town and Chenonceau is the name of the chateau...Those are good choices...I%26#39;m sure the above private driver or his minions would do well if all you need is transportation...Still, it will be a long day...

Other than that, you might check in with ParisVisions or Cityrama in Paris...Both do commercial tours...some in busses and perhaps some in vans...

Some say to take the TGV to Amboise for example, and then rent a car to take you about to the three chateaux...You will probably need to plan about an hour between each chateau just for travel...and several hours to get down and then several more to get back...The TGV goes from Montparnasse to Tours in little over an hour and probably a little less than an hour to Amboise ( if it stops there which I think at least some of them do)...Check the SNCF website for details..

Thank you both for your replies :-)

I will check into both recommendations and oops! on the spelling! ;-)
