My boss is going to Paris for a couple of weeks, with a 3 day jaunt to Mont St. Michel inbetween.
He%26#39;s older, but energetic and is an architect, so staying in a place with some historic significance would be great. Moderate pricing is appreciated, good service essential.
I%26#39;d read that staying in the Mont, as oppossed to right outside could be a problem for people dragging luggage into the hotels? Is this true? I%26#39;m sure he%26#39;d prefer to be in the village itself, although they will have a car so maybe that isn%26#39;t an issue.
Any help/suggestions you can give me would be appreciated. I%26#39;ve never been there and while he%26#39;s has traveled extensively throughout France, has not been there either.
Thanks again!

Don%26#39;t think I would want to spend 3 days at M St M, sooner stay in St Malo or a town along the coast - especially with a cas

You only need 1 day in Mont St. Michel. I stayed 2 nights only because our hotel required it. I%26#39;ll never do 2 nights again.
I don%26#39;t think you can drive into the village on the island. I would think it would be difficult to take bags, especially with the shoulder to shoulder crowds. We stayed just over the causeway in a decent motel.

I agree with the others. One day is plenty for Le Mont. St Malo or Dinard are beautiful places to stay and the coastline there provides glorious scenery.
