Roller Bladiding in Paris

I was reading about a huge group roller blade through paris in Frommers on Friday nights. Has anyone here done it? Heard of it?

There are 2 rides I think - Friday evening, 3 hours %26amp; Sunday morning for beginners.

I%26#39;ve never done it but I%26#39;ve seen it go past many a time. THere are outriders front and back with an ambulance bringing up the rear and police escort.Roller-bladers have right of way and the police are there to keep those pesky cars out of your way. It%26#39;s an amazing sight, but you%26#39;ll need energy!

The route isn%26#39;t always the same and is announced the week before.
