Paris in October?

How is Paris in October? This will be my first trip to Europe and I don%26#39;t want to go during the wrong time of year. I saw one travel guidebook that mentioned Oct is one of the worst times to go because of fashion week. Is this true?

The worse time is October due to fashion week? I went one October and had a great time. Not sure why that person wrote that statement. October is known to be busy due to not only fashion week but also trade shows. However, Paris, to me was not more crowded in October than in July which is high season as well. The weather can be a mixed bag and Paris%26#39;s weather is always unpredictible. You can count on a bit of rain. Also book your hotel now.

Paris is beautiful in October, with often a great blue sky. Yes it may rain, but it may rain also in May, June, etc...

Fashion week ?? Heu... what%26#39;s that ?

As a %26#39;normal%26#39; tourist, you won%26#39;t even notice the fashion weeks and other trade fairs or conventions, except that some hotels are already solid booked and some in-restos will be hard to book, as well.

October, while a bit less warmer than Septemer, can still be a very nice month. However, bring a small umbrella.

Paris is always beautiful.

We did not have a beautiful summer this year..so probably we will experience an Indian Summer in October. If so, there is nothing more romantic than walking around the Jardin de Luxemburg with all the leaves changing colours....So let it be Paris in October!!

October is an excellent time of year to go to Paris. Leaves are turning and air is crisp with more blue skies that during some other months.

Fashin week can make it more difficult to book the hotel of your choice... Other than that you probably won%26#39;t notice much unless you get invited to one of the events.

I%26#39;m getting emails from hotels stating that they are not able to offer any promo rates because we are trying to travel during fashion week next year. Is fashion week always the second week of October? Thinking we may push our trip our to the third week of October if this is the case.
