Anybody stayed at the Hotel Santa Maria in Ille Rousse?

We are thinking of staying at this hotel in early July. Can anyone recommend it? Also any good restaurants near-by?

Hi there, I haven%26#39;t stayed at the hotel Santa Maria in Ile Rouse, but I have visited it about 18 months ago (I work for a travel company). The position is good because it%26#39;s just at the edge of the town and the big advantage is that it has a pool and is right on the beach which is quite unusual in Corsica. For Restaurants, I like the l%26#39;Osteria in the town which does traditional Corsican type of food and is reasonably priced, and the Bar l%26#39;Escale which is great for salads and fish (although I haven%26#39;t eaten there for a year or two. There is also a new mexican restaurant that%26#39;s fairly new so I haven%26#39;t had the chance to try that yet. I%26#39;d give the Ile d%26#39;Or a miss.
