Cassis

We are traveling to Provence the end of June and thought that a few days on the coast would be needed with two teenage girls. Does anyone have a reccommendation in Cassis or nearby?

beautiful, romantic, but small and possib boring to teens. why not go east to cannes or antibes. there%26#39;s more to do.

I%26#39;m also going to Cassis in mid-July. Can anyone recommend a hotel? I%26#39;ve seen the list, but excluding the 4 stars, there isn%26#39;t any more information or photos regarding the 2 stars, in particular, Le Provencal, Le Liautaud and Le Clos des Aromes.

We spent two wonderful days in Cassis in early March. The weather was great, the food was great. We enjoyed the boat ride to the Calanques and the drive along the cliffs (route de Crete) east to La Ciotat. On the later, the views are thrilling, there are many places to stop and trails if you%26#39;re hikers. There was a great market in the town square on Wed.

We stayed in the 2 star Le Cassitel right in the heart of town and could walk everywhere. Parking is horrible by the port area, so if you have car, try to arrange parking with the hotel. Our hotel had a few spaces only for 10 euros a day (in and out okay).

If you do not need a luxury hotel, I would recommend the Hotel les Jardins de Cassis. Here is their website: www.hotel-lesjardinsde-cassis.com/luxe.htm#.

I have stayed there several times. The rooms are basic - kind of like a US Holiday Inn but they are clean. The location is great - can easily walk to beach, shops, etc... Also, they have an underground parking garage which is very secure.

I know the Liautaud Hotel and it is a %26quot;rocking%26quot; place in the summer. Ground level bar overflows to the sidewalk. The are directly above and are likely to be noisy.

Hope this helps!

We stayed at Le Clos des Aromes last October and highly recommend it. The restaurant was very good, the staff very friendly and accomondating, the rooms quiet and comfortable. Highly recommend you consider taking a boat tour of the local shoreline, it%26#39;s really very impressive. Cassis is a very beautiful location. Hopefully your girls with appreciate it.
