3day birthday visit to nice in july

Hi,we are staying at the Comfort Nice Vieux Port on Rue Emmanuel Philbert in July, and wondered how we will get there from the airport. Also I would like to see Cannes and Monaco whilst there does anybody have any idea if or how I could arrange all of this? Julie x

Hi Julie

I have a little studio apartment in the new block opposite your hotel! You need to catch the express bus 98 from either airport terminal for 4 euros all the way to the end terminus at the bus station or Gare Routiere.

Then it is only a 5-8 minute walk depending on your luggage. Although you can cut through the old town, best bet is to head for Place Garibaldi, then up either rue Cassini or rue Bonaparte (cassini is easier, it is wider) to get to emmanuel philibert.

Or take a taxi for about 25-30 euros. I understand ATS have put their prices up, but you could get a quote and see for a shared lift, used to be about 7 euros a person.

From the Port which is right by your hotel, there is a great bus service east, so handy for Monaco, take the 100, it%26#39;s a free return (it was last year, anyway) For Cannes you need the 200 bus from the Gare Routiere. Or take the train to Cannes. Your nearest train station from your hotel is Riquier station which is walkable in about 15 minutes. You can of course take the train from Riquier to Manoco too, but I much prefer the scenic bus route and the time difference is compensated by the bus being on your doorstep. Hope this helps a bit. I have a bit more info on my webpage, here is the link:

you have to copy and paste the whole thing into your address bar.

best wishes.
