I'm in love with the Loire Valley

If your just planning your trip to France and can fit in a trip to the Loire Valley do it! We rented a car at the CDG airport and took a memorable drive south for about 2 1/2 hours. The French drivers had nothing on us, we fight the Phoenix traffic daily so don%26#39;t be affraid. You also drive on the right just like home. The Loire Valley is chaulk full of beautifull, majestic Castles. We mangaged to visit 5 Chateau%26#39;s (castles)in 3 days Amboise, Chenonceau, Chambord, Chinon, and Azay-le-Rideau. You really get to see how the royalty lived and visit their playground. The food and the wine in the region is also devine. We stayed close to Amboise in an incredible 18 century chateau, Chateau de Perreux. It is gorgeous, decorated in sumptuous antiques dripping in Renaissance style. In low season its only 130 Euro a night, frankly it was the most elegant room we%26#39;ve ever stayed in (we travel alot)and the owners Eric %26amp; Rudolphe are fantastic. Treat yourself to the Loire Valley experience, there is more to France then just Paris. Although we had fun there too.

Good for you for posting an ad for the Loire...I love it too...We rented a farmhouse for two weeks a few years ago in the northwestern Loire...had a fabulous vacation..chateau-crawling like you...Farther down the river there are Saumur and Angers with its Tapestry of the Apocalypse...see those next time...Some day I hope to have a house and live in the Loire...only an hour by TGV from Paris and wonderful food and wine and friendly people who speak the purest French of all....
