purchasing an orange card for a month

How does the orange card work if you are in Paris for a month? Where do you buy it and when must it be purchased, cer tain days or prior to the beginning of the month? I would appreciate any info that you can give. My family will be renting an apartment from July 7 to Aug. 5. We have definitely decided on the orange card if it is still available but we don%26#39;t understand how the month one works.

You can buy the monthly ticket as from the 20th of the previous month until the 19th of the running month good until the end of the calendar month. Zone 1-2 is 51.50€ (zone 1-5 is 101.30€).

So, no problem to get the monthly ticket, once you arrive. But keep in mind, it will only be valid until July 31.

You can get the pass at any métro stop (bring a passport photo).

www.ratp.fr for more info (in French) click on %26#39;Tous les tarifs%26#39;, where it says %26#39;Bon à savoir%26#39;.

%26#39;Hebdo%26#39; is weekly, %26#39;mensuel%26#39; is monthly.

It%26#39;s worth noting that while you may purchase the monthly CO pass for the floowing month from the 20th of the current month; it does not become valid for use until the 1st day of the month...and runs until the last. The CO passes are issued for for %26#39;..calendar..%26#39; periods (weekly, monthly) not for just any 7 or 30 consecutive days.

becca,

I mentioned the date from which the monthly pass can be purchased just in case someone else might want to know.

I very well understood that you won%26#39;t be here until July 7.
