Nice over Easter

Planning to visit daughter studying in Cannes over Easter break. Planning to spend two nights at the Carlton, then on to Palais De La Mediteranee in Nice. Will most attractions be closed on Saturday and Sunday, Sunday being Easter? Are most museums likely to be open on Saturday? Is it worth time to take a boat trip to Monaco? Any suggestions?

It is possible what you call attractions may be closed because of the Easter holiday. I suggest you decide first what you would like to see (Museum of Modern Art, Villa Ephrussi Rotschild, etc), then check on their websites to see if they have special opening hours for Easter. They are open on Sundays usually.2 days only? Forget about the boat trip. You mayu just take the train to Monaco, faster anbd you will still see the seashore.

Thanks!! One more thing, we were planning to stay at the Palais De La Mediteranee, but are wondering if since this is a once in a lifetime for us, and we will have my daughter and her friend we should spring for the Negresco? I have the feeling the girls would be in heaven and the beach sounds nice. Will I be dissapointed in servic and amenities vs price? Is the %26#39;show%26#39; aspect worth the price?

If it%26#39;s a once-in-a-lifetime I%26#39;d go for the Negresco.
