Modern Stylish Hotels in St. Germain

My husband and I will be in Paris mid-April for 4 nights and are researching modern/stylish rennovated hotels ($300 range)in St. Germain.

We like Hotel Artus, but are shy to book due to rennovations which are due to be finished in March. We also like Bel Ami.

Are there any others that we should consider in this category? Thank you for your help.

Hotel Le Senat*** on Rue de Vaugirard, 6th arr. Very stylish.

Perhaps Hotel Millesime?

La Villa Saint-Germain**** Right next to Bel Ami. However, it%26#39;s very pricey.

The Millésime*** is a nice choice too. But it%26#39;s rather cozy, Mediterranean style than cool stylish, and for mid-May it could be difficult to snag a room.

I loved staying at the K %26amp; K Cayre, 4 Boulevard Raspail, right on the border betweeh the 6th and 7th. A perfect location, lovely modern rooms, and an outstanding staff.

I will add Hotel Pont Royal (www.hotel-pont-royal.com). It is very stylish with a phenominal restaurant (Atelier Joel Robuchon) on site. Is however on the edge of the 7th rather than in the heart of the 6th.

STAY IN THE 6TH ARRONDISMENT ST GERMAIN DE PRES - END OF STORY

The area is unbelievably Parisian without the mass touristy hysteria that goes on in other arrondisements. Quaint and pretty with the church of St Germain in the square which chimes on the hour. There is an abundance of places and cafes where you can breakfast, bars, brasseries and a multitude of restaurants. There are elegant shops and boutiques if you fancy shopping as well. From this area walk through the heart of St Germain along Rue Dauphine which takes you straight over the most beautiful bridge in Paris - Pont Neuf and a short walk from the Louvre %26amp; Notre Dame. As you walk over Pont Neuf you can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance. If however you choose to walk in the opposite direction from St Germain , walk along Rue Bonaparte it will take you straight to the Luxembourg Gdns where you can enjoy a picnic.

Get a good map and walk along the smaller lanes for experiences along cobble stone walkways and the most exquisite little shops selling all things cute and French.

Trust me I have stayed in other arrondisments because I regularly go to Paris twice a year every year but somehow they never match up to the elegance of the 6th.

I%26#39;m doing the same thing for travel end of March. I have narrowed it down to L%26#39;Abbaye and to Le Duc de Saint Simon. Did you consider those options? Love to hear your thoughts and where you ended up.

Merci bien!
