What terminal is the Detaxe booth at CDG?

I have been looking at past threads on this and (mostly from last year) from my own experience they are hard to find. Has anyone done this recently and do you remember the terminal?

Also I was just looking at the U.S customs page and although the personal exemption is 800 per person you are only allowed one 1 ltr bottle of alcohol duty free. The rest is taxed a 3%, not a big deal I guess but I thought that they allowed three bottles?

The US Customs Duty Free allowance is one(1) liter of alcoholic beverage (regardless of whether spirits, wine or beer) per person. The amount of Duty paid any excess will depend on the the percentage of alcoholic content. For most table wines, the excess duty/tax will be approx $1-1.50 per bottle.

Though there is no guarantee, in most cases, if you are returning with a few bottles of wine (and have not exceeded your Duty Free allowance), most agents will simply wave you through...it not being worth the time of effort to fill out all of the forms necessary to collect a couple of bucks of excess duty/tax on a couple of bottles of wine.

Every CDG terminal building will have a De Taxe desk. Navigate through this section of the main Aeroports de Paris web site to find the terminal diagram for the one you are interested in and use the %26#39;..SERVICES..%26#39; tab of the INTERACTIVE MAP feature for each individual terminal building to find the location of the De Taxe desk at each.
