Evening out for 40 plus couple

We are looking for some %26quot;gentle%26quot; nightclub entertainment whilst in Paris. (not the Moulin Rouge - too in your face) but are after some good food / music and a bit of dancing preferably in one place for my husbands 45th Birthday. Any suggestions very much appreciated. Many thanks

Would you enjoy swing jazz and dancing?? I can recommend La Caveau de la Huchette in the 5th, Latin Quarter. It is in a medieval cave and they have nightly music starting at 1015pm and there are a lot of people dancing. There are a lot of places in Paris to listen to music, but the atmosphere (casual but interesting) and dancing are often not highlighted as much as at Le Caveau. The closest metro is St. Michel and the street is just around the corner (Rue de la Huchette). Cover is 11E on weekdays, 13E on weekends. I love this place- it has a mixed crowd, young/old, tourists/locals.

You have to go to a jazz club while in Paris!!! I can%26#39;t remember the names of the ones we went to. Some require reservation and dinner for good seats. Here%26#39;s a link to the 10 best jazz cubs in Paris:
